It’s Fun to Learn with the Zula Patrol

September 4th, 2007 by Yolanda

With a peppy zippy intro that’s an ode to the Jetson’s you can expect a very warm welcome to the 3d space age of the Zula Patrol. My little scientist EBoy absolutely loved this show. The alien Zula crew demonstrate and clearly explain a multitude of scientific concepts and facts. EBoy loved the rock concert which allowed him to learn all about sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks. The storyline seamlessly integrates a fun energetic tale with music and thorough scientific exploration. The show carefully reexamines and questions the key points at the end of the tale, teaching both problem solving and language skills. A mini documentary is also included to showcase real world examples of the concepts presented in the show.

The crisp vibrant graphics in this show not only make for enjoyable viewing but also provide concise memorable illustrations of the material presented. Even children who may not have a deep interest in science will definitely be drawn in by the bubbly characters and well thought out plot lines. Be sure to check out the interactive website for even more opportunities for learning and reenforcement of the information presented on the show.

This series is very intelligently put together and incorporates not just the cartoon but plans for a Planetarium Show which your children can attend at planetariums across the nation, museum exhibits, and a comprehensive reading program. A team of scientists including astronauts, astronomers, rocket scientists, and education specialists have worked hard to create a meaningful experience to make science entertaining and accessible for all children.

If you are looking for a way to make science exciting- it’s fun to learn with the Zula Patrol. Your little science seeker will definitely be captivated by this far out outerspace science trip.
